This year, the number of tourists worldwide has established a new record, reaching a total of 842 million, 4.5% more than in 2005. The highest increase (8%) was reported on the African continent, the area being one of the most dynamic regions in what travel and tourism are concerned. The growth exceeded World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) expectations for 2006, which were for a 4.1% increase. UNWTO expects a 4% increase for 2007. Will the estimation be exceeded again? I'm sure it will... Unless some war of biblical proportions should arise... (wich can not yet be overruled)... People are spending more and more on tourism and the conomy is encouraging the individual to travel, discover himself, the world and distant cultures, it's part of the business culture now, globalisation. And it's good for us and our employers, too.
