What do you think of the new Harry Potter movie?

I rarely trust NY Times movie reviews. Because they generally hate movies I find interesting. But I found this article on the new Harry Potter movie in today's issue. The Imdb.com score is also pretty high...But I've heard rumors that if you take out the special effects and the amazing scenery, not much is left.

Have any of you seen the movie? What do you think of it. I will see it eventually, but I want to know if it's worth going to the cinema. Thanks!

I saw almost all Harry Potter movies in cinema so I am going to see this one as well, if I go for it first, I'll let you know. ;)

Only me and all the kids will be there, I betcha, lol.

Well... tbh it's worth it as long as you don't go there waiting to see an Oscar movie. If you've seen the previous HP movies then you know what to expect and will probably have just as much fun watching this as you did with the others :)

Well, B, I haven't seen any of them in the cinema, so I guess i'll stick to this habit.

ET, what I heard was mostly about the movie being disappointing compared to the previous ones in the series. I doubt anyone expects a movie of the year performance :)

hallo alina... the film was great, but it felt a bit like "more of the same" which was a bit of a pity really as we're all deep into the harry potter stuff...

we have the new book, we're reading voraciously but with limited time unfortunately...

I hope to see the movie soon and have my mind made up about it. More of the same can be ok at times. Not great, but ok :)
