Message through Marwa
Ashraf al-Akhras and his bride, Nadia Alami, are two people in love whose most importan and happy day as a couple, their wedding, was turned into a tragedy. A suicide bomber attacked their wedding party at the Radisson SAS hotel in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday. See more details on Marwa's blog.
And a message that we all should acknowledge:
"To those who wrongfully think this is ISLAM:
This has NOTHING to do with Islam. Killing innocent people like that brutally has nothing to do with the merciful, most peaceful and forgiving ways of Islam. Those who claim to do it because or for Islam know nothing about their true religion."
Maybe focusing on the direct impact, leaving abstract numbers of victims behind will help

Naturally, I should be the one to go first here :) Thanks for the link back darling.

I hope my post at least makes a little bit of difference in others' minds. More people should be aware of what islam is really like and learn about what happened there in Amman. That was terrorism, as ugly as it could be, NEVER Islam.

    Thanks again Kayla.

thanks for the link kayla. and for taking an interest. things like this are just sad. and confuse people about what Islam is about. unfortunately alot of people do not take the time to look beynd the slogans and bombings to see what Islam is really about. point to be made here: the victims are mainly moslems.

Indeed, they are cowards hiding behind religion. And yes, people take them as an example of muslims. Yet the pretend they act against Christians, although more muslims end up dead!

islam is a religion of caring and concern for ones fellows, amongst other things... most religions are but they tend to become misinterpreted and hijacked by fundamentalist interests, distorted beyond belief...

even christianity like in america, where the fundamentalists have bought their way into government and right now are doing their best to level any opposition to "the true belief"... disgusting, disappointing, disillusioning in the extreme... religion is about freedom of mind and experience, not subjecting people to new shackles dictated by fashions or elites...

sorry, i'm a bit angry at the moment...

You might be angry, but you are right! Our beloved Church actually has a great tradition of imposing trends, beliefs, lifestyles. But what fundamentalists of any religion are doing is simply intolerable!
