Sweet November
It seems this autumn is decided to never ever let us decide what we think about it. First it frightens us with rain, then it suddenly becomes all bright and shinny, then it gives us the pain of freezing cold and dry days and now it’s again gloriously sunny. I experienced an incredible autumn day today, although it’s already November and now would be a great time for all those cold and rainy days…It looks like nature here in Romania has decided to surprise us each and every day. We no longer know what to expect from our four (still??) seasons. And we had the arrogance to believe we knew them perfectly!

up to now autumn's been absurdly warm for the time of year in holland, only yesterday did the temperature start dropping to below 12 degrees... in years past, november's always had a week or two of quite heavy frosts and some ice on the canals, but don't see that happening so quickly now...

and yes, every day has surprises in so many ways... love it :D

    Kayla,

I thought you meant the movie too. And I love unpredictable weather - except when I've had my hair blow-dried.:)

Rain, the movie is actually great, and you should see it if you get the chance. Funny, november is pretty sunny there as well!

The last few automns, winters and springs seem to have decided to change any "normal" idea we had of them. Nothing's like it used to be, probably because of the greenhouse effect, global warming and all the tricks we pulled on Mother Earth...I hope she will bare with us untill we decide to undo all the damage.

But the surprises, such as yesterday, are gorgeous!

Wish you see "the Autumn" in Hunza, in northern Pakistan.

Kayla, I love autumn. Did I ever tell you that? I love it more when it's warm and sunny in the day and cooler at night. I love to see colored falling leaves. I love the smell of fresh air and rain.

Today it was sunny and lovely here too even though for the past days, it's been windy and cloudy.

Sweet November (the movie) was nice, but not that touching. It was like a new version of the timeless "Love story" with all the difference. It was still nice.

    Take care!

Sometimes I really miss the four seasons. Over here in Malaysia, it hot the whole year round with rains in between.

Nightlegend, would love to come visit your country, regardless of the season.

Shi, wish I could see it too..

Irina, this is the most capricious I have ever seen! Nice to hear from you!

Dayreamer, my favorite season is summer. Hot weather and the whole Bunch! Sweet November is a nice movie, better and worse than Love Story at the same time. Worse because, hey, it's Love Story we're talking about, and better because it is something different from the "parents say no" theme.

I know Adam, but that is why tourists are always welcomed there! They come for what they don't have. BTW, it'd amazing how Malaysia is on of the best promoters of it's touristic potential. The campaigns they have are among the best and I have seen how your embassies promote it! Really great job!

Anyway, back to the topic, whenever you want to change places for a week or two, let me know :)

Well Ancient ppl used to know the four seasons well, as our pharaohs & everything was perfectly measured, but now with that pollutions & the Ozone hole... we cant expect such perfect seasons anymore,,, if we can notice 3 of them a year then it's better than nothing ... i think maybe later we would wear our heavy jackets in July!!!

ohhh .. would you like to visit Egypt :), i'm glade to hear that,,, hope it's serious and we see you around soooooooooooon ;))

First of all, you remind me the movie 'Sweet November', thanks for that... I liked the movie & after watching the movie I became a fan of Charlize Theron... she's so pretty.

"It looks like nature here in Romania has decided to surprise us each and every day" .. this is happening thru'out the world & maybe the weather is likely to behave more erratically in the days to come.

Tota, I am planning to visit Egypt, I just don't know when...Soon as in 2006 is a bit out of the question, but maybe 2007, two years from now, I'll be able to make this dream of mine come true (it's something I wished for since about 8 years ago). Anyway, it that's going to happen, you'll be the firt to know!

Yes, Avik, weather is playing tricks on us these days. But I guess we only have ourselves to blame for it!
