Again, errors caused by rain
As you probably know from my last posts, my morning reading session is very important to me. It’s sometimes the only time I enjoy reading during a whole day. But this rainy weather has managed to spoil this as well.

When it rains, everybody turns to the subway trains. They’re still on time, regardless of the raining cats and dogs status from outside. So everybody tries to squeeze in, pushing and sliding through, pressing you against the others. That means not enough space to breathe normally, making an open book an impossible dream. I actually tried for two stops, then I stopped trying. It was pointless and I could feel the level of anger rising around me. What, you want to read while we hardly fit in this stupid train??? That’s being shameless!

So my nice 25 minutes session turned into some 10-15 minutes (for the last three stops of my ride the train was pretty empty). I’m looking forward to discovering this afternoon’s adventures…

Very funny, Haal! Actually is a picture taken by K, early in the morning :) Maybe it's because I am happy? :)

    ooh, quest-ce que t'es belle!!!

i love reading but you just can't make me read in the train or in any moving vehicle otherwise that'll make me sick. in the metro (in paris), every passenger has his/her own magazine/newspaper/book and just looking at them gives me nausea, hehe.

have a nice day, kayla! ;)

Merci beaucoup, Boks! I have nausea in cars, buses and minibuses. I'm ok reading in any kind of trains and in the tram. Lucky me, I suppose!

You have a great day as well, Boks!

me too... i love reading and try to do as much a i can in the train, but usually end up falling asleep... the train i travel with is usually only half full (or half empty :P) so there's plenty of space for everybody

beautiful foto by the way... compliment to K for doing it so well

Half empty trains..Hmmm, Bart you're lucky. We only get that on certain hours, at noon and late at night and maybe on weekends. But most of the times you can open a book with no problem, so I shouldn't complain I guess.

Thanks, I'm sure K is really proud of hiw masterpiece! :)

Avoid reading when you travel! The scientists say the best results out of reading could be obtained if you read while moving your bowel - the perfect sync between the body and spirit.

kayla, the pic is really very cute! :)

not only on trains, but everywhere, people who do not read, just can't understand what the hell are we doing with a nose in the book like that? and they do get irritated sometimes!

but they do not know that they are missing a whole lot of life!

True Doshar, they are missing a lot! And anonymous, I really cannot afford to choose when to read these days! Whenever I can, I stick my nose into my book and I am sure your scientist will agree it's better to read when I'm traveling than not to read at all!

I never thought that rain could be such trouble, cause in my country it's quite a rare phenomenon ... which I always long for in winter.
Too much of something makes it lose its meaning..

Yeab Tarek you came all the way long throw my Blog lol :)

And yes Kayla as I told u before I like this Pic more as long as both are for the same person
It shows how much u r such a Photogenic so get sure that u always get a talented photographer to show that beauty ,,, so It’s about photographer maybe the brand of camera ,,, not u :) as u said “it's not like u went from beast to beauty!!!”

Trust me on this, Rain! 5 days of nonstop cold rain will make you forget any love you might have for this phenomenon.

  • At 9/23/2005 12:13 PM, Blogger Alina said…

:)Yes, Tota, you are right! It depends on lots of things! Espeacially on what the pic focuses on. You cannot compare a portrait with an instant shot when I was trying on a blouse! But this picture I love because it is nice and because it was taken by a very special photographer with a very special camera(being his makes it special).

I hope so too, Jade. I am not really down, as unhappy. I am just braindead and always cold and sleepy...I hope this is the last day of rain! :)

Kayla, people here said it all. The picture is very cute :)

As for reading in public transportation, I failed to do that. Tried it before for a number of times, but it didn’t work. I hate it to find the eyes of the one sitting beside me in the book I’m reading. I just don’t like that!

This morning my teacher mentioned that she had heard some news about Romania, but she couldn't really remember what it was about. So I came home and watched the news on Antena 1 and it didn't look good. It's scary what rain has done at home this year :( It's scary what rain has done all over the world this year...

P.S. I like your new icon as well :)

Hey, Moon, I am lucky. People here are interested in reading your paper, but never your book!

Irina, Loloma, this is the 6th day of non stop rain. And apparently it's going to be like that for a while...
